Pick a graduating class. These are the NCAA rules for baseball, and they are not the same at every level. Nothing here is a signup and we do not want your email.
Part two
The NCAA splits the year into phases. This updates itself, so whatever it says here is true today.
Division I baseball. Everything not listed is the phase above it.
Division II — one calendar for every sport. Everything not listed is open.
Division III, NAIA and JUCO have no calendar at all. No phases, ever.
The rules limit the coach, not the player. Your son may email, call or fill out a questionnaire for any program at any time, at any age. What these dates govern is when a coach is permitted to answer.
One thing most people still have wrong. Until August 2023, a D1 coach could talk freely on a call the player started. That is how nearly every early recruitment actually happened, and a lot of travel coaches still operate as though it works. It was closed on purpose. A D1 coach cannot have a recruiting conversation before the date above no matter who dials.
Researched emails to college coaches, written in your son’s own words, and you approve every one before it sends.
See how it worksSources: the official 2026–27 NCAA Division I Baseball Recruiting Calendar and 2026–27 NCAA Division II Recruiting Calendar, both updated July 30, 2026; NCAA Division I recruiting legislation effective August 1, 2023; NCAA Eligibility Center recruiting rules. The NCAA republishes the calendars every summer, so this page needs a yearly update. Confirm anything that matters with the compliance office at the school in question.
